Speaker of GNAT, Mustafa Şentop, in his speech at the meeting, stated that Türkiye and Moldova have strong relations based on deep-rooted historical and cultural bonds.

Şentop expressed that he believes that the second meeting of the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council, which is planned to be held soon, will make significant contributions to the cooperation, and Şentop conveyed the greetings of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Şentop expressed the importance Türkiye attaches to solidarity with Moldova during the epidemic period and the influx of refugees during the war in Ukraine.
Speaker Şentop stated, ‘Developments in Ukraine bring new problems and challenges. As the country hosting the largest number of refugees in the world, Türkiye understands the pressure on Moldova very well.
Şentop stated that the humanitarian aid provided by AFAD and Turkish KIZILAY will continue in the upcoming period to the extent possible.
Speaker Şentop stated that Moldova is going through a sensitive period due to the war in the neighboring country and that it is more important than ever to protect national unity and solidarity against some foci that want to create instability.
