SPEAKER ŞENTOP HAS ATTENDED “KEŞKEK FESTIVAL”

Mustafa Şentop, Speaker of the GNAT stated that institutions that have been established in the past century have failed to maintain world peace, “We are on the verge of establishing a new world. Turkey has begun reaching its power potential as a constituent actor both in its own region and around the world.” 13.08.2019

Şentop attended “Keşkek Festival” which was organized at Karaçakılavuz Street by the Municipality of Süleymanpaşa where he threshed wheat and tasted keşkek (a dish of mutton or chicken and coarsely ground wheat).

In his speech, Şentop congratulated neighborhood residents on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and stated that Muslims are being persecuted in certain regions of the world even during Eid Al-Adha.

Şentop reminded Israeli soldiers’ attack on Muslims who were gathered for salat al eid at Al-Aqsa Mosque on the first day of Eid Al-Adha stating, “This is only a recent example. Many oppressed people’s, mainly the Muslims’ blood is being shed in various parts of the world before and during Eid Al-Adha and oppressing mechanisms still continue to work. An environment for Eid Al-Adha does not exist. Our duty is to remember the meaning of Eid Al-Adha while celebrating it and spreading an understanding which will enable domination of peace and welfare around the world that will comprise a basis for festivities.”

Şentop pointed out that Turkey has been a pioneer in spreading an understanding which would enable domination of peace and welfare around the world and expressed the following:

“For a long time, Turkey has been striving for the establishment of an environment which stands on basic principles and one that aims peace where all the nations with whom we act together win. All the structures of the past century have ceased to exist. Particularly the UN have failed to maintain world peace. We are living the days when a new world is going to be established.

We are on the verge of establishing a new world. Turkey has begun reaching its power potential as a constituent actor both in its own region and around the world.”

Şentop pointed out the fact that Turkey has a say in the world and that the Turkish nation has the ability to act in unity when there is an attack against its country.

Şentop indicated that there are different political views however, when there is an attack against Turkey the nation has the potential to unite;

“We have experienced this recently on July 15th. Many people with different views flooded the streets, as a nation, we have eliminated the understanding which entails assasination and occupation attempts against Turkey.

Turkey will be a prominent actor in the world who will be able to obtain and determine results with this unity and solidarity.”

Mustafa Yel and Çiğdem Koncagül, Deputies for Tekirdağ (Justice and Development Party), Cüneyt Yüksel, Mayor of Süleymanpaşa, Mustafa Aydın, Provincial Police Chief, protocol members and many citizens attended the event.
