Further developing relations between the two countries in all fields and fighting with FETÖ effectively were discussed during the meeting.
Speaker Şentop stated in his speech that cooperation at the strategic partnership level which gets strength from historical brotherhood ties, must be further enhanced in all fields in the upcoming years.
Mustafa Şentop, Speaker of the GNAT pointed out that FETÖ poses a serious national security risk both to Turkey and to other countries where it conducts its activities and reminded that Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Founding President was the first President to visit Turkey following the coup attempt on July 15th.
Şentop pointed out that the real intention of the terrorist organization is to seize control of political power in countries and stated the following: “That is why we believe that this organization is not a threat just to Turkey but also to our friend and brother Kazakhstan. At this point, we hope that FETÖ ringleaders’ extradition, freezing their assets and ending their media tools’ activities can be done by Kazakhstani authorities in the near future.”
Speaker Şentop expressed that many countries have taken action regarding the fight with FETÖ and added, “I’d likte to emphasize the fact that we are expecting Kazakhstan to take necessary measures promptly”.
Speaker Şentop invited Nigmatulin to the celebrations which be held on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Establishment of the GNAT next year on April 23rd.
Nigmatulin, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Kazakhstan emphasized that his country continues to develop cooperation with Turkey in all fields, “Our new President Kasım Cömert Tokayev has confirmed his commitment to enhancing relations with Turkey. The cooperation between our countries will continue developing.”
After the meeting, Speaker Mustafa Şentop made examinations in the Parliament of Kazakhstan.
