During the meeting with Nursultan Nazarbayev, Founding President of Kazakhstan, Speaker Şentop stated that Turkey expects the assets of FETÖ ringleaders to be frozen and their schools to be transferred to the Turkish Maarif Foundation and expressed Turkey’s expectation to take steps in the fight against FETÖ.
Mustafa Şentop, Speaker of the GNAT who delivered his good wishes to the Kazakh people on the delegation of his office of Presidency continued as “It is gratifying that you will continue your responsibilities towards the Kazakh people and the Turkic world as the founding President, Elbaşı and Nur Otan Party Leader. We are fully confident that you will continue to contribute to further development of the excellent relations between our countries in the coming period with your well-known and appreciated statesman identity, deep experience and guidance. Kazakhstan,with political stability, has made an exemplary progress in the path to development and has become a prominent country in the international community. We take pride in this situtation.”
Şentop also stated that after the bloody coup attempt of FETÖ on July 15, 2016, the first head of state who visited Turkey was Mr. Nazarbayev and this won the appreciation of the Turkish state and Turkish people.
Speaker Şentop, who pointed out that FETÖ terrorist organization does not only pose a threat to the national security of Turkey with its insidious intentions and methods but also to the national security of those friendly and brotherly countries where it operates and he said the following:
“We are deeply concerned by the fact that FETÖ extensions are still operating freely in the education, media and business world in Kazakhstan. At this point, we hope that the Kazakh authorities will soon return FETÖ ringleaders, freeze their assets and end their media activities. We are ready to take over the mentioned schools through our Ministry of Education or through Turkish Maarif Foundation and manage these schools including their administrators and teachers. We are confident that you will provide the necessary support in your respectful leadership.”
