Speaker Mustafa Şentop had a meeting with President Stevo Pendarovski within the context of his visit to Northern Macedonia on the occasion of December 21 Turkish Education Day.

In the meeting between delegations, Speaker Şentop and President Pendarovski exchanged views on cooperation opportunities at each level of Northern Macedonia-Turkey relations that are in the spririt of strong friendship and partnership.

Both Pendarovski and Şentop expressed their expectations about deepening bilateral relations at each and every field of mutual interest and also interparliamentary cooperation.

In the meeting, Pendarovski stated that with NATO alliance, both countries contribute to stability and security in the region.

They also exchanged views and information on the current situation in both countries and overall situation in the region in terms of the Covid-19 pandemic.

President Pendarovski also expressed his gratitude to Turkey for helping them in their fight with the Covid-19 pandemic and emphasized that solidarity, cooperation and mutual support of the states is an important precondition of coping with the global pandemic successfully.
