ŞENTOP HAD A MEETING WITH CROWN PRINCE SHEIKH MES’AL AL CABIR AL SABAH, DEPUTY EMIR OF KUWAIT


Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şentop, Speaker of the GNAT had a meeting with Crown Prince Sheikh Mes’al Al Cabir Al Sabah, Deputy Emir of Kuwait in Kuwait. Şentop conveyed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s greetings in the meeting held at Beyan Palace. July 12, 2021

Şentop told that they have been trying to further deepen cooperation between the two countries in all fields and indicated that they are pleased to have face to face meetings again, that have been delayed for a while due to the Covid-19 global pandemic.

Şentop continued his words accordingly:

“We’ve had fruitful exchanges with my dear brother Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim during his visit to Turkey last year in January. There is sincere cooperation atmosphere between our parliaments. We are pleased to be able to work together in order to resolve issues concerning our region and to have a close stance within international parliamentary organizations of which we are members.”

Mustafa Şentop mentioned that the Palestinian cause is among the most delicate issues where the two countries act together determinedly, “From time to time, we’ve had fruitful discussions with Mr. Al-Ghanim. I’d like to point out the fact that we wish to host the Committee on Palestine within the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) on Speakers’ level in September, in Istanbul. Hopefully, we will have beneficial discussions for the peace and security of our Palestinian brothers and we will declare our significant decisions to the world from Istanbul.”

Şentop pointed out the significance of cooperation in defence industry and stated the following:

“I’d like to state that we always support and follow Kuwait’s conciliation efforts with appreciation, towards the solution of the crisis among the Gulf Cooperation Council members. We are pleased with the Summit held in January in Al-Ula and the fact that your efforts have resulted positively.

With these thoughts, I’d like to thank you again for your hospitality. I hope that our fruiftul discussions could be beneficial for our peoples."
