Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şentop, Speaker of the GNAT said, “FETÖ poses a national security risk, threat to all the countries in which it operates. We must fight against this organization together.” October 5, 2021

Speaker Mustafa Şentop received Doskul Bekmurzaev, Minister of Energy and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and the accompanying delegation.

Şentop told that he is pleased to host the Kyrgyz delegation at the GNAT and that Kyrgyzstan is a very special country for Turkey.

Şentop reminded that Turkey is the first country that recognized the independence of Kyrgyzstan and congratulated Kyrgyzstan’s 30th  Independence Anniversary. Şentop said, “May God protect independent Kyrgyzstan forever.”

Şentop told that they are ready to provide each and every kind of support for economic welfare, development and growth of Kyrgyzstan, “The year 2021 also marks the 10th Anniversary of our strategic partnership with Kyrgyzstan. There are also developments regarding our trade volume. Our trade volume within the first 7 months of 2021 increased by 55% compared to the same period in 2020 despite the pandemic. We hope to reach our goal of one billion dollars of bilateral trade volume soon which was determined by our President.”

Şentop pointed out that recently, important steps have been taken between the two countries in terms of high level visits, “I believe that your visit confirms the will towards developing the relations between the countries. I hope that your visit would bring beneficial results and I hope that you have fruitful meetings.”

Doskul Bekmurzaev, Minister of Energy and Industry of Kyrgyzstan pointed out that Turkey was the first country to recognize independence of Kyrgyzstan and that the two countries have the same history, fate, language and religion.

Bekmurzaev stated that he had been in Turkey before, however being here as a Minister is quite pleasing.

Şeref Kalaycı, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Sabri Öztürk, Chairman of Turkey-Kyrgyzstan Interparliamentary Friendship Group, Deputy for Giresun (Justice and Development Party) and Recep Şeker, Deputy for Karaman (Justice and Development Party) participated at the reception.
