INTER-PARLIAMENTARY FRIENDSHIP GROUPS

Inter-parliamentary friendship groups are the mechanisms that contribute to development of inter-parliamentary relations and cooperation. Inter-parliamentary friendship groups are mainly established in order to develop close relations and cooperation between countries and parliaments, carry out official visits based on reciprocity for the cooperation and promotion of countries, exchange views and contribute to the development of friendship between countries.

As the volume of Türkiye’s foreign activities has increased in recent years, the number of inter-parliamentary friendship groups has increased considerably. All deputies of GNAT have the right to take part in these groups. The following table shows the number of inter-parliamentary friendship groups established according to the legislative term:
