Speaker of GNAT, Mustafa Şentop made the following statements in his message:
"We commemorate our 51 brothers and sisters with mercy and prayers who lost their lives in the heinous terrorist attacks on two mosques during Friday Prayers in Christchurch, New Zealand, on March 15th, 2019. With the leadership and initiatives of Türkiye and Pakistan, an extremely important and historical step was taken for the future of the world in terms of rights and freedoms, with the recognition of March 15th as the ‘International Day Against Islamophobia’ at UN General Assembly. On the occasion of this day, we emphasize once again that; Our country will never accept any discrimination based on belief and will resolutely continue its struggle against all kinds of discrimination, racism, injustice, and hate crimes against beliefs and humanity."
