Şentop first met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, Kim Jin-pyo within the scope of MIKTA 8th Speakers’ Consultation.

Speaker Şentop stated that MIKTA provided significant benefits in terms of addressing multilateral issues that shape the world's agenda and identifying areas of cooperation between countries.

Emphasizing the strong bond of friendship between Türkiye and South Korea, Şentop said, "We are the members of two great nations that rush to the aid of each other in difficult times. In this period when we are experiencing one of the greatest disasters in our history, the Turkish people will always remember with gratitude the help and solidarity shown from Korea."

Expressing his belief that the relations with South Korea, which were raised to the level of strategic partnership in 2012, will strengthen in all areas in the coming period, Şentop stated that in parallel with these, the relations and cooperation between the parliaments can be carried forward.

Expressing his concern about the activities of the FETO terrorist organization in South Korea, Şentop warned that FETO poses a great threat not only to the security of Türkiye but also to South Korea.

Speaking after Şentop's speech, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Kim Jin-pyo noted that Türkiye has a special place in his heart and stated that he studied at the Ankara School established by Turkish soldiers for 4 years when he was in primary school.

Kim Jin-pyo added that they will gather the necessary information about the FETO terrorist organization and bring the issue to their Parliament and do what is necessary.

Şentop later met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, Puan Maharani.

During the meeting, Şentop emphasized that MIKTA, which covers almost the whole of the world and brings together 5 countries from different religions, languages ??and cultures, is a very important platform and expressed his satisfaction that it has become an increasingly visible and effective cooperation mechanism.

Şentop stated that Türkiye is trying to contribute to the development of the platform during its term presidency in 2022 and that it has decided to continue its support to Indonesia, which took over the term presidency and said, “I have no doubt that our cooperation and coordination at MIKTA will be carried forward under your term presidency. I wish you success in your term of presidency.”

Şentop thanked Maharani for the strong solidarity and condolence messages she showed after the earthquake with the search and rescue team that came to Hatay and the field hospital established in Hatay.

Şentop also talked about Türkiye's fight against all terrorist organizations and conveyed his expectation that schools affiliated with the FETO terrorist organization will end their activities in Indonesia.

Speaker Şentop concluded his speech by saying, "Even though FETO's first target is Türkiye, it is essentially a threat to every country in which it operates. It is important for your own national security that you take this seriously."
