Speaker Şentop, condemned the initiative of the Ukrainian delegation to protest with flags during the speech of the Deputy Head of the Russian Delegation, Olga Timofeeva, at the 30th Anniversary of the Parliamentary Assembly of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) the Summit of the Speakers and the 61st General Assembly.

Şentop, in his post on his social media account, stated that the provocative and physically offensive actions of some members of the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation at the PABSEC Parliamentary Speakers Summit hosted by the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye can never be accepted.

Speaker Şentop said, ‘I am also sorry to have experienced such an unfortunate and unacceptable event at the PABSEC, which brought us together at a table with the aim of solving the problems in our region on the basis of dialogue. I condemn this behavior that disrupts the peace environment Türkiye is trying to achieve.’
